2. License to Use

didactAI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the service for personal or professional educational purposes in accordance with these Terms of Service.

2.1 Restrictions

The following actions are prohibited:

  • Modifying or reproducing content
  • Using content for commercial purposes without explicit permission
  • Attempting to reverse engineer software components
  • Removing copyright or proprietary notices
  • Sharing content with third parties without permission

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for the following aspects of your user account:

  • Keeping your login credentials confidential
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing truthful and complete information
  • Updating your information when changes occur

4. Description of Services

didactAI provides AI-powered tools for lesson planning and material organization. We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue features or content at any time
  • Restrict access to certain features
  • Limit access to parts of or the entire service

5. Payment Terms

  • The following rules apply to paid offerings (e.g., Premium subscriptions):
  • Subscription fees are due in advance (e.g., monthly).
  • Billing is handled via external payment providers such as PayPal – their terms of use and privacy policies apply.
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
  • New customers may receive a free trial period. Specific conditions will be communicated during registration.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the respective period unless canceled in due time. You can cancel anytime via your user account or by contacting support.
  • Price changes will be communicated in advance and take effect no earlier than the next renewal period.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and characteristics of the service are the property of didactAI or licensed third parties and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, and other proprietary rights.

7. User Content

By uploading or entering content (e.g., teaching materials or planning data), you grant didactAI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and process this content solely for the purpose of providing and further developing the service.

You retain all ownership rights to your content. didactAI does not claim ownership of your data.

You warrant that you hold all necessary rights and that your content does not infringe third-party rights or violate applicable law.

8. Limitation of Liability

Use of didactAI is at your own risk. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

didactAI assumes no liability for the pedagogical or didactic correctness of AI-generated content. You, as the teacher, are solely responsible for reviewing, adapting, and applying such content.

didactAI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, data loss, or non-material damages – even if advised of the possibility.

Liability is – to the extent permitted by law – limited to the amount you paid for use of the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate user accounts at any time and without prior notice if a violation of these terms occurs or if a user’s behavior is potentially harmful to others, to us, or to third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time via your account settings or by contacting support.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and conflict-of-law rules.

11. Changes to the Terms

didactAI reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. You will be informed of material changes by email or via the service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

13. Processing of User Content

When using didactAI, your uploaded content is processed as follows:

  • Conversion into textual representations ("embeddings")
  • Encrypted storage
  • No linkage with other personal data

The generated embeddings are used exclusively to improve functionality within your account. There is no profiling or disclosure of this content to third parties.

14. Payment Processing

We use Stripe, a service by Stripe Inc., 510 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA, to process payments. Stripe processes payment information independently and is responsible for such data processing.
